DUBAIPolice in Dubai have taken decisive action against a group of motorcyclists after they were found performing dangerous stunts and violating traffic regulations across various roads in the emirate.

The incidents involved riders engaging in highly risky behaviour, including balancing on one wheel and weaving sharply between moving vehicles. Authorities said such actions placed not only the riders at risk but also endangered the safety of other motorists.

The enforcement comes as part of ongoing efforts to maintain strict road discipline and reduce preventable accidents.

Road violations

Brigadier Jumaa Salem bin Suwaidan, Director of the General Department of Traffic at Dubai Police, confirmed that traffic patrols identified multiple serious breaches. These included reckless riding, failure to adhere to traffic rules, and dangerous manoeuvres carried out on busy public roads. He stressed that such conduct significantly increases the likelihood of severe collisions and can lead to life-threatening consequences.

All motorcycles involved in the incidents have been impounded, while legal proceedings have been initiated against the offenders under applicable traffic laws.

Safety push

Brigadier bin Suwaidan reiterated that Dubai Police remain fully committed to strict enforcement against any violations that compromise road safety. He urged motorcyclists to adopt responsible riding practices and avoid dangerous behaviour that could endanger themselves or others. He also appealed to parents to play a more active role in supervising their children and educating them about road safety risks associated with reckless riding. Authorities further warned against imitating hazardous stunts often seen on social media platforms, highlighting the importance of using designated areas for riding activities instead of public roads.

The force emphasised that continuous awareness campaigns and patrol monitoring will remain in place to discourage violations and promote safer driving culture across the emirate. Motorists were reminded that compliance with traffic regulations is essential to prevent serious injuries and fatalities on the roads.
